Of all the denials parents might reasonably anticipate having to make, this is none of them.

If Fagan and Kerr look in at this... or if anyone knows them do pass this on... Joyous news all around, new baby, new song... You (Team of Fagan and Karr) may be happy to know, should you be in New York, the Tavern at Theatre80 (an ancient speakeasy - bar from 1922, historic theater where Frank Sinatra had his first gig in 1939..) oft at intermission, the sweet tones of your Anderson Coast and many other songs of yours southe the path of Smithwick or Scrumpy down New York gulletts... If you are ever coming to NY, (Fagan Kerr family) we'd love to have both here live on our stage, as well...
Best wishes and all the best, and thanks for this wonderful blog and blog entry

Hi Lorcan,

Not that I wish to sound doubtful, but I didn't remember reading about this in any Sinatra bio, so I went and checked and couldn't find any references to Sinatra having his first gig there. Where did you find that info?

Best regards,
Dandy L.

"In a sidebar article in last week's Times, I read of Silence: The Musical, co-written by Webster University alum Hunter Bell, playing in East Village. Theatre 80, just off 1st Avenue, is a historic space, having hosted Frank Sinatra's first NYC concert in 1939, the Off-Broadway original production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown that launched Gary Burghoff and Bob Balaban into later stardom, and currently this parody of Silence of the Lambs."

Neat story.

And the "Tavern at Theatre80 " I'll have to explore some time when I'm in NYC.

I used to go to movies there in the late 1970s.

Dandy, that theater/bar has been in Lorcan's family for many years.
