I would like a campaign for real men (have been thinking about it for a while, along with a partner group called "Not Half"), but I don't think it's the best thing to do to define it by what real men don't do. Though one of my criteria was that they don't demand that real women alter themselves to look like porn "actresses". (Soon no-one will understand why it was peculiar for Ruskin to reject his wife.) Perhaps "Real men celebrate real women". But it isn't just the relationship thing. Perhaps "Real men do what needs doing." Be it racing towards the noise of gunfire, or learning to use the washing machine. (I think there's a card in Oxfam which is captioned (roughly) "When you've mastered the washing machine, you can be called a man.") How unfortunate. I too suffer from memory loss, mostly due to sleep aponea I believe. Perhaps a doc could help you with diagnosing the cause(s). I know that talking with my doc may have helped somewhat stem the tide of my memory loss. It's a common ailment and there is no shame in seeking help. Trust me, the sooner you seek help, the better off you will be. |

Sorry, if that wrinkled your knickers. UCLA Medical, has a couple of hospitals out in SoCal, that post grads, do their internships....overseeing the various departments are mega-great physicians, who check the younger doctor's work. That is where I met him, and at the time was VERY impressed with him!! ...or was that an opportunity to take a quick pot shot at me?..Regardless,(and I can't find the post with the pic now), if that's the same guy, Kendall is in EXCELLENT care!! LOL Two rednecks decided that they weren't going anywhere in life and thought they should go to college to get ahead. The first goes in to see the counselor, who tells him to take Math, History, and Logic. "What's Logic?" the first redneck asks. The professor answers by saying, "Let me give you an example. Do you own a weed eater?" "I sure do." "Then I can assume, using logic, that you have a yard," replied the professor. "That's real good!" says the redneck. The professor continues, "Logic will also tell me that since you have a yard, you also own a house." Impressed, the redneck says, "Amazin!" "And since you own a house, logic dictates that you have a wife." "That's Betty Mae! This is incredible!" The redneck is obviously catching on. "Finally, since you have a wife, logically I can assume that you are heterosexual," said the professor. "You're absolutely right! Why that's the most fascinatin' thing I ever heard! I cain't wait to take that logic class!!" The redneck, proud of the new world opening up to him, walks back into the hallway, where his friend is still waiting. "So what classes are ya takin' ?" asks the friend. "Math, History, and Logic!" replies the first redneck. "What in tarnation is logic???" asked his friend. "Let me give you an example. Do ya own a weed eater?" asked the first redneck. "No," his friend replied. "You're QUEER, ain't ya?" |
