I heard this on Lonesome Pine RFD in NYC. The only scrap I remember was the tagline "We know that you're with us, ain't you Lord."

YOU'RE WITH US, AIN'T YOU LORD?
Words and music by Dixie Hall, Tom T. Hall, and Billy Smith.

1: I wake up in the morning,
Take the world the way I find it.
There ain't much I'm in charge of anyway.
There's not much I can do to keep
Our mother earth a-turning.
All I can do is work and hope and pray.

CHORUS: I know that you're with us, ain't you, Lord?
Oh, how I need to hear your voice!
Lord, give me endurance.
I need your reassurance.
I know that you're with us, ain't you, Lord?

2: I lay down the morning paper.
Once again the world's in trouble,
And it seems this time there ain't no place to hide.
I reach for my trusty Bible
And I see that it's been written:
Wars and rumors like you prophesied. CHORUS

3: There's a dreadful situation
Here today in our great nation:
Our young people on those foreign shores.
This prayer goes up for them,
But there's a chill of fear within.
I reckon you're still with us, ain't you, Lord? CHORUS

TAG: I reckon you're still with us, ain't you, Lord?

[The web site says this was recorded by the Joe Isaacs Family on Blue Circle Records, BRC-002.]
