He always was a good artist, being able to whip off cartoons at a moment's notice. It is a shame he gave up performing really, because he was a very entertaining act. |

Guess it will remain a mystery unless I can find a vinyl copy! |

I also heard the Taverners perform it several times at least thirty years ago in and around East Grinstead in Sussex. The tune as I remember it sounds identical to the version on Youtube, and I also have the lyrics on an insert in the album sleeve. I'm not much of a techie - some one earlier in the thread suggested downloading their version to Youtube - I could do that if I knew how. Let me know what you think. jgg |
