chorus: You're my little potato
The world is big, [chorus]
Let's talk about root crops (they dug you up)
They must have grown you wild
Whoa, oh oh now,
(alt. chorus)
You smile [chorus]
You're my little potato Note: Metamora recorded this on their self-titled (first?) album, but they didn't include any credits for the songs. I assume the band wrote them themselves. |
27 Apr 00 - 09:19 PM (#219278) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: Little Potato From: Joe Offer Click here for an interesting choral recording of this song. Apparently the song was written by Malcolm Dalglish. It's on the Metamora album, which is a great recording. -Joe Offer- |

I heard the choir do this live some years ago. In the early 90's Garrison Keillor conducted a couple "Prairie Home Festivals" at Concordia that ran for a couple days and ended with the live radio broadcast on Saturday night. It may have been the first public performance of the choral arrangement. rich r |

We have a recording of Dalglish doing Little Potato on the cd "Welcoming Children Into the World," songs from a radio program Sound and Spirit, originating on WGBH in Boston. :-) |
