From: Bloke from Poole Hi, Anyone know where to look for acoustic music (or mixed) sessions of a weeknight in Birmingham/Solihull area? Ideally beginner (and box) friendly with a good English content. But friendly and with good beer will do! TIA Malcolm |

16 Jan 12 - 03:46 AM (#3291271) Subject: RE: Birmingham UK - Music sessions? From: GUEST The Black Diamond Folk Club, The Globe Blues St Manchester St. Just off Newtown Row, between New John St West and Lancaster Circus. Friday evenings from about 8.30. |
16 Jan 12 - 05:23 AM (#3291291) Subject: RE: Birmingham UK - Music sessions? From: GUEST,Noreen While the information posted above for the Black Diamond is correct, and it's an excellent club, it is by no means an acoustic music or mixed session, as the OP is looking for. The Black Diamond has guest nights alternating with singers nights: blackdiamondfolkclub.org.uk |

20 Jan 12 - 02:44 PM (#3293508) Subject: RE: Birmingham UK - Music sessions? From: Bloke from Poole Cheers - unfortunately Fridays I head home :-( Made it to the Prince of Wales - having discovered that there are two pubs of that name, and it's the one in Alcester Road, Moseley that holds the session. And has free parking. Although the city centre one had a good range of ales. In fact, both do... So my visit to the wrong one wasn't wasted. |
