Well if I read topical tom's thread correctly, there is a hidden message in there telling us that today is one of Mudcat's pillar's Birthday.
Happy Birthday "kat", and may you have many blessing's and joys with your new family (dog) member for years to come.

Oops, I see I should have posted to this one and let the other die down. Kind of embarrassing having two at the same time. Maybe another clone can combine?

Any way THANK YOU all, very much. So far it has been a wonderful day. Morgan brought me two whirligigs for my garden this morning: a butterfly and a dragonfly, both with iridescent purple wings and two tiny crystals on the latter.

love you,

katgratefull

You all are so kind, sweet, funny, and great friends. Thanks so much!

Bert, I have to ask, is that one of your Cockney rhyming thingies which make no sense to me?**BG**

No candles, SRS. No dinner out. My diet is so simple these days I don't find much appealing or good for me at the restaurants, plus my family members, including Morgan, don't get home until just after 6p. On a week/school night, going out would be too much. We might do something on the weekend.

BUT, it's been a grand day! After Morgan was over before school with the hummingbird and butterfly whirlygigs, I had a video in my email of my twin grandsons back East, telling me Happy Birthday. Good gawd they have grown! 13, still identical, with deep voices, and a little fuzz on their lips. Handsome boys with smiles that go all the way through my heart. My brother brought me some pansies and a nice card. My sisters, who are also twins, called and sang Happy Birthday to me, and my son called sounding better than he has recently. Rog brought me a special pastry for lunch which I'd requested from a local bakery which makes everything from scratch on the premises and uses all local flour, fruit, etc. YUM! And the dogs have been hilarious to watch playing in the yard. So, so far, even with paying bills (grateful we are able), it's been a good day! Of course, you lot have had a lot to do with it being even better. Thanks, again!!

The day you arrived on this earth, Mother Nature took note of your arrival. She saw everything about you and the person you would become. She saw how your future would touch others and all this she took in. Then with a look around at the many peoples of the earth, she breathed the life of the earth into you and stood back sighing, "Damn.....another one. When is this going to stop?"

Happy Birthday anyway............

No, it is not Rhyming slang or Cockney. It is a tag that schoolkids in England added to the song one man went to mow.

It stretches out the song when singing on long bus journeys.

Thanks for the continued good wishes. You folks are so dear to me!

I got a great belated "gift," today. I'd gone to the pulmonologist last Friday for a two month checkup..new doc, nice enough, but when we got there on Friday we were told she was at the hospital and had to cancel. She would call me about the results of the bipap machine chip report which they downloaded while we were there.

As of yesterday, I'd heard nothing, so called them. Was told they didn't know when she would be calling and knew that was not satisfactory, but she would be in for two hours today and they'd leave her a note. Well, I guess I was pretty firm about how I felt, not impressed, not hearing from her and being on pins and needles a bit to see if there was an improvement.

About thirty minutes ago her asst. whom I spoke to, yesterday, called & said she wanted me to know the download showed I was 100% "compliant," which is rare, (just means I use the machine every night the way I am supposed to) and that the sleep apnea rate, the "HI" which indicates how many times a person wakes up from not breathing, went down to one percent point something, which is negligible. All of which means I am doing GREAT and only need to recheck with her in 3-4 months unless I feel a need for sooner!! THIS is a huge relief and, I think, the first time the apnea has truly been treated correctly, mostly by my doing what I am supposed to do and my doc last year getting me the right machine and teaching me. It is a big help for the pulmonary hypertension, too!!

Great B-day present!!
