29 Mar 12 - 08:23 PM (#3330864) Subject: BS: Kind thoughts needed From: RangerSteve I'n diabetic. A while ago, I went to my podiatrist to show him a couple of sores on my foot that wouldn't heal. A sonogram showed I had no blood flow to my left foot, so I had an angiogram, followed by an arterial bypass. They overdid the asesthesia, so as a result, my three weeks in the hospital resulted in about five minutes of memories. Anyway, by this time, gangrene set in and I had three toes amputated. I'm in a nursing home now, learning how to walk, relying on bed pans and lying in bed, except for physical therapy every day. Today, the doctor who did the amputations looked at the wound and said it looks worse than when I left the hospital, and I may lose the remaining toes. (I thought Stevie Two Toes would make a good Mafia name, but I may be denied that.) I'm prayihg that this will end soon and i'll be able to go back to my own home and live a somewhat normal life. On the plus side, if anyone sees me barefoot and asks, I can say that this one went to market, this one stayed home..... Any kind thoughts and prayers will be appreciated. Thanks, Steve |

My wife is a lifelong diabetic; she has done very well so far, but the possibilities dangle there. Rest assured you have our sincere wishes that your problems will be stabilized soon, while you can still be reasonably able-bodied. Dean |

29 Mar 12 - 11:52 PM (#3330951) Subject: RE: BS: Kind thoughts needed From: katlaughing Now I see why maeve re-upped the fun thread in the music section for you! What Janie said, though from Colorado, plus adding my thanks givings for a complete and immediate healing and recuperation at home. This, or something better, for the highest good of all concerned. So mote it be. Is there anything else we can do help...cards, letters, CDs, phone calls, etc.? You don't have to make your addy or number public. Send them in a PM and I, or someone else you trust, could pass them on to other trusted folk. BUT, only if you want and it would help. No pressure. As for healing wounds, my docs are convinced this stuff Amerigel is miraculous. I have personal experience with it which convinced them. Maybe you could get your doc to try it or have someone get some for you? It's natural, so nothing dangerous in it. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} luvyakat |
