I agree there's no clue about that, or about What $@#%! Country is it in? (or maybe just what continent?)

No problem. It was just a chance to tweak somebody a little bit.

It's amazing though how many websites announce interesting things going on in unknown places, and never think about giving anyone more than 12 miles away a clue. And then they wonder why nobody from the next county ever drops in to help them celebrate.

(Or maybe they really just don't like the people in the next county.)

It is a free event over Friday, Sat and Sunday and there are 3 venues with concerts and singarounds, they have a facebook page for the event too.

There's camping on Filey Brigg campsite 5mins from venues. I've already booked because this is a bankholiday weekend and may be busy.

Filey Folk Festival venues update, The Station Pub (pre booked acts + sessions/singarounds), Grapes Inn (pre booked acts only), Belle Vue (pre booked acts only). ALL FREE ENTRY.

And now, just added extra venue to cope with interest in singarounds and playarounds. 'The Imperial Pub' will be hosted by Mick McGarry and anybody and everybody can join in (no pre booked booked acts, just turn up on the weekend).

The Station Pub has also a seperate lounge area and a marquee covered beer garden for singarounds/playarounds too (away from the main stage area), these will be hosted by Derek Waudby.

Lots of stuff going on, all free entry. Come and try this newish festival !
