May the Lewes Saturday Folk Club in Sussex, England, has an evening on the theme of 'Robin and the merry greenwood'. We will be singing songs & ballads of Robin Hood & general woodland activities (poaching, nutting, hunting, disposal of by-products of crime, al fresco how’s your father, etc.) We also suggest wearing something green. Bring songs and tunes on the theme. If you'd like to reserve one and be sure of not getting pipped at the post, let me know. Those chosen so far are: Robin Hood & the Curtal Friar Robin Hood & the Bishop of Hereford Willie & Earl Richard's Daughter Death of Robin Hood Robin Hood Was a Forester Good We;ll be joined by some of the people attending the Tradsongs Forum in Lewes that day.
