DVLA scam email warning

    Published: Friday, 15 June 2012

Watch out for emails claiming to be from DVLA asking you to verify your driving licence details via an online link – it's a scam. DVLA has not sent any such email, so if you get one delete it immediately.
Scam phishing email

There is a scam email in circulation which claims to be from the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency). The email asks drivers to verify their personal details via an online link.

Quack!

Thanks, Geoff. It's a fairly transparent scam - as so often, spelling gives it away:

We sincerely apologise for any inconviniences this might have caused you.

No inconviniences here - just a little incontinence from laughing!

That's given me an idea to get some signs to put on closed down loos that are so prevalent.

Phil - you may recognise dodgy spelling. There's plenty out there who wouldn't. (Ask some Grocer's) ;O)

I'm just passing on a warning.
Quack!

Sorry, Geoff - you're right. I wasn't criticising in any way - just making a (barely) humorous comment.

Well, I would not have spotted the spelling mistake coz I'm dyslexic.
I am inclined to delete any mails that are not addressen to me personally or state they come from an "official" body. Gan Canny Brian

Newport Boy,

At least be consoled with the fact that it was far more amusing than JHW's pathetic attempt
