A friend is doing a public school program on Paul Robeson & is missing some word to English words to his singing which begines: "Brothers sing you country's anthem (set to Beethoven's Ode to Joy) I can't navigate your site too well - computer literacy problems. Need is immediately. 1. I see someone wants words to Abraham Lincoln Walks again. I don't know how to respond. I can type them in from memory, since I learned it when I was 6 and am now 81. I would appreciate it a great deal if you could click on the following link HERE which will take you to a Mudcat thread called req: Abraham Lincoln Lives Again (Lewis Allan) and scroll to the 'post' window at the bottom of the thread and there type out the lyrics for me. If you have any other information about the song I would like to have that as well - such as the circumstances in which you leared the song. I am collecting Songs in English about the Spanish Civil War HERE and if you have time perhaps you could look in case there are any other relevent songs which you know?
