Got anything to report? Here's a thread for it.

My first report is "semi" applicable for Mudcat...

"Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap, airs Saturdays at 7 PM (8:30 PM NT) on CBC Radio One and Sundays at 6 PM (6:30 PM NT)."

2 hours of Canuck musicians. Songs and stories.

Yes, I know the times are screwed up. It's Harpers fault.

Sheryl MacKay's North by Northwest is on from 6 to 9 AM - yes, I'm an early riser - from Vancouver, so distributed throughout at least southern BC and S W ALberta via CBC's exemplary small transmitter to local area system, so far not utterly decimated by Harper's boys and girls, though they're working on it (short wave IS largely gone). She covers the arts generally, and often has musicians in the studio live or by pre-recorded interview done during the previous weekdays. I heard Jon Bartlett and Rika Rubesat doing a few extended interview-cum-performances of BC folksongs and historical stories, a few years back, but Sheryl is open to such things.

Good to know, Ian. Thanks.

As for Harpoon and the sinking of CBC internationally, it IS TRULY sad, but whaddya expect from such a small mind? Controlling the public starts with controlling information. Paranoid? Why not?

Sorry. This thread is about CBC radio and what it has to offer. The fact is, when I see Harper trying to destroy it because it doesn't make money while he spends many more millions... ahhhh, sighhhh. Sorry.

Listen and enjoy while you can.

BTW... listen on your computer when you can. Even if you are not listening, log in and mute your speakers. Do the same with your cable (satellite) TV... tune in to CBC radio or TV and leave your cable box power on. It's like voting for CBC because the connections are monitored to determine advertising rates.

Important to remember that- you get to vote all night long, or for a week if you're gone, and the TV being OFF is ALWAYS good for inner life!
