York Festival of Traditional Dance

All over York City centre this weekend will be loads of traditional dancers. The Slightly Notorious Ebor Morris are hosting our 25th Annual Dance Festival. In addition to Ebor, we have Minster Strays, Flagcrackers, Brackley and the Truly Celebrated (Not really ladies, honest - or so I've been told to say) Acorn Morris (who wear dresses). Many other sides and traditions will be on show, on both Saturday and Sunday. Come along = you might enjoy yourself!

We've thoroughly enjoyed the weekend when we've been there in the past - a good mix of teams and a well-run event.

Hope it goes well and you get the one weekend of sunshine we seem to have been allotted this year :)

A couple of years ago at Chapel Morris's day of dance in Buxton, one of our female members decided it was 'Hug A Nutter' day -it seemed to go down well ...

Sounds great. Not sure if I'll be in York this weekend but if I am I'll certainly enjoy watching - perfect setting for this kind of activity. Have fun!
