Of course, it's a nasty and ridiculous stance, but people that was proposed in 2007. Meanwhile --
==========
the average new prostitute is 13 years old

many people, including children, are going hungry
unemployment is terrible

60% of the students in my city drop out of high school

51% of the children born last year were born to unwed mothers

every week or two, there is a little article in the newspaper about a baby or small child being beaten to death, usually by an unrelated, unemployed male on drugs
==========
The candidates and the media are suckering the people of this country into emotional debates on extreme events which rarely happen. It's time to ask the candidates about problems which affect many people. Also, about problems where SOMETHING CAN BE WORKED OUT.

In other words, please stop being suckered by the media.

Well, Bobert, apparently a large segment of the Republican Party wants to have those disabilities and is actually proud of them.....

Maybe he should propose a bill for public stonings?

According to apparently valid reports, the present governor in Kansas, as a US Senator, TWICE authored a proposed Constitutional Amendment to prohibit the U. S. Supreme Court from hearing dissent on any law for which the originators claimed that it's provisions were "based on God's Word."

If passed, election of a "Taliban Mayor" (or maybe a city council) could easily result in public stonings with no appeal (he failed to mention who's God, among a few other defects in his bills).

It wouldn't need to be a Taliban mayor - a fundamentalist bible thumper, Christian or Jewish, might quote Deuteronomy where it says "If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones."

As a btw, if anyone on Mudcat lives in North Dakota, perhaps it would be beneficial to point out to the legislators there that fertilization and pregnancy are not the same thing.

On second thought, forget it. You'd only confuse them.
