A lovely concert in Christchurch, Belper, last night.

Pieces range from a capella carols sung in the closest harmony to a couple of sets of tunes, with accompanied songs inbetween. These ranged from the black humour of Tom Lehrer to moving recently-written works.

We did have an unexpected treat in Belper. John Tams, smartly dressed in a frock coat, appeared to deliver a monologue written by Marriott Edgar, Old Sam's Christmas Pudding. I must have missed that episode of Sharpe.
