The 'counter' on the PDF reads "12/28"...

The page Kendall is on reads 10. However, that ought to let people find it--one or the other.

I'm trying to figure the whether you turn when the potato doesn't splash because it landed on land, or because it flew off the edge of the world???

This is what happens when someone doesn't tell the whole story!

The problem was, no radar and the ship was in a shipping lane. If the potato didn't splash, it probably hit another ship, or a rock.

"For decades, Kendall Morse was a multitalented entertainment force. Born and
raised in Machias, the grandnephew of a
renowned local storyteller, Kendall began
telling stories professionally in the early
1970s. He eventually hosted a show
on Maine Public Television called In the
Kitchen, wrote a book by the same name
and released a popular album called
Seagulls and Summer People. Kendall
was also a successful folksinger. Three
times he was voted Folksinger of the Year
by the Maine Country Music Association,
was inducted into the Maine Country
Music Hall of Fame in 1995, and was
nominated for a Grammy in 2009 for his
role in the double CD, Singing through
the Hard Times, a tribute to Utah Phillips.
Father Fell Down the Well is a wonderful
collection of traditional Downeast stories
collected and performed by Kendall during a career of performing from across
Maine, and America."

Hear, hear!! Way to go, Skipper!

I was surprised to see the photo - that was one I took. Didn't know it was going to be used on the cover.

Looking forward to actually holding a copy of the book!

I dunno' Jacko.......I think Kendall would prefer you held something else......gently of course.............

The picture seems a bit curious though......It looks to be one of a grandfather who has fallen into a cesspool instead of a father into a well............a kinda' shit-faced old fart................

I will announce the release as soon as it is up and running. The publisher said he has had some setbacks, but it should be on the market in a couple of months.

True Jacqui.....The images I saw had been photoshopped to the nth degree and his willie resembled the starter pedal on a '47 Chevy.

Why?   Well, I suppose you're just a lovable old coot and most folks feel sorry for you. Additionally, I ain't doin' much else right now and cappin' on your flaccid pocket snake......or grub worm in your case..... gives me something to do......sort of a hobby, ya' know? On the plus side for you is that this hobby involves neither knives nor wood burning tools..............

My wife and I are on Martha's vineyard just now, at her brother's summer place, with family and friends. The gathering includes Howard Heller, a Scarborough resident, who knows the Cap'n (perhaps just by sight).

From: GUEST,Kendall

It finally happened. After three people quit, and the publisher moved 100,000 books to a new warehouse and offices that covers about two acres, things are moving again.
Last Wednesday, the editor and I met and he took some photos of me in various positions (shut up Spaw) at Portland Head Light.

He didn't give me a date, but he did say it is on the fast track. It will be a paper book. None of that electronic monkey business.

Looks great, Kendall! Do you s'pose it might be out before Christmas? I can think of a few folks who would enjoy it...

BTW, Another item in that catalog is the Dahlov Ipcar Full Circle 2014 calendar, featuring the remarkable paintings by the mother of our own Charley Noble.

Jeez, I might end up spending more than I'd planned...

This one is 3 times the price of the original. It's only been 33 years since the first one was released on the unsuspecting public.

Kendall, what books have you published, and which ones are still available. I know about Father Fell Down the Well (click), and I think the other one is "Tales Told in the Kitchen." Is "Kitchen" still available, or is my copy a priceless treasure that will one day make me rich? Any others?
