Seth Lakeman's recent concert on tv

I can't hear the accompanying players. Just SEth and violin - a little bodhran. can't hear the guitar or the double bass.

is this a fault of the bbc recording, or is it the shitty little speakers on my telly?

Given my experience with MotoGP (Moto2 & 3) I would bet on the BBC having real amateurs on live OB feeds these days. You would think there was someone at home with a phone telling them what can be heard.

Unfortunately the only time I've so far seen Seth Lakeman live that was precisely the sound we got - vocals and fiddle at ear-splitting volume, far too much treble on the violin, and the backing band might as well not have been there for all we could hear of them.

I'd always assumed that was down to the festival situation, a rushed soundcheck and / or dodgy sound engineer ...
