Greetings, 'catters -

Tom Goux, Saturday, March 29, noon to 1:30pm at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.

Some of you might know Tom Goux from his appearances at Mystic Seaport and other East Coast venues, as a solo performer, with Jacek Sulanowski, and as a member of the Rum Soaked Crooks (oh, the political statements about the band name running through my brain!)

Tom is also a multi-instrumentalist, educator, oceanographer and musicologist. He will be putting his talents together in a solo sea music concert aboard the 1886 Glasgow-built sailing ship Balclutha, berthed at Hyde Street Pier, San Francisco, on Saturday, March 29, noon to 1:30pm.

Admission is the standard ships' boarding fees: Adults, $5. Ages 15 and under (accompanied by an adult), free. Free with national park passes. No reservations. purchase boarding pass from ticket booth, located about halfway along the pier.

It sounds like a great evening of music, and if I didn't live on the opposite coast I would love to be there!

It is a very late communication - but Tom & Jacek are also giving a concert of Sea Music at Woods Hole Library (MA.) - 7.30 start on Friday 14th March - $15 tickets available at the door.

I second Tim Radford's motion! If you're in New England, go see Tom and Jacek Sulanowski. Worth a long drive as well as a short one to see them.

Billed as "Goux and Sulanowski," when they performed in SF in the early 90's, someone inquiring about tickets heard the names and thought they were a husband and wife duet called "Goo and Sue Lenowski"!
