Cockabendie Loves Not Me

Hi, Does anyone know the song Cockabendie Loves Not Me. I'm trying to figure out which tune it would go to. There is Cawdor Fair, a tune which seems to be related to the word Cockabendie. And then there's a song about Maggie Cockabendie. Anyone know more? Thanks so much!

I don't know the song, but does Cock a Bendie from David Young's 1740 dance collection work? (It's on my website: http://www.campin.me.uk/Music/YoungBodleian.abc)

Both the following from the Fiddler's Companion.

COCK A BENDIE. AKA - "Cockabendie." AKA and see "Cawdor Fair," "Hawthorne Tree of Cawdor." Scottish, Country Dance Tune (4/4) or March. The melody appears in both the Drummond Castle Manuscript (1734) and the Bodleian Manuscript, the latter residing in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. The MS is inscribed "A Collection of the Newest Country Dances Performed in Scotland written at Edinburgh by D.A. Young, W.M. 1740." The melody appears in Middleton's and, as a march, in Ross's Collection of Pipe Music (1885, 1976).

COCKABENDIE. AKA and see "Cock a Bendie." Scottish, Reel. The melody appears in the Drummond Castle Manuscript, in the possession of the Earl of Ancaster at Drummond Castle. It is inscribed "A Collection of Highland Reels written by David Young, W.M. & Accomptant" (1734).

As usual Kuntz was just throwing out unchecked information, which in this case would have sent people to the wrong country looking for the manuscript. It's in the Bodleian Libray in Oxford, which is where I went to transcribe it about 15 years ago

The Fiddler's Companion is just a waste of electrons.

The second strain of David Young's tune fits your broadside. The first seems to have been added by an instrumentalist, it's not very singable.
