Perth, Oz: folk happenings query

My man is heading west, from NZ shores, in around Sept/October (2014) for about a fortnight. As he hasn't booked exact dates yet, I thought I'd do a 'what's on' bit of scouting. He'll be mainly around Perth, but is likely to do a road trip.
He particularly enjoys trad, plays lovely Celtic finger style guitar, and failing banjo. Info about clubs or gatherings much appreciated.
Cheers
Diana

I followed the Blue Clicky and was saddened to learn of the death of a stalwart of the Perth Folk Scene Joe Crozier.. Still it gave me an excuse to phone Lottie, still one of my favourite singers. If I was looking for a club I would try the Hills first, Pauline will make you very welcome

Gosh ! What a lot of venues there are compared to 1968 , when I was there ( HMS Eagle ) ; BUT ; I DID get to play in the Supreme Court Gardens with the Dubliners look-and-sound-alike group " The Guinness Grenadiers " of Jardine / Matheson (Hong Kong ) and Changi Attic (Singapore ) fame !!!

Thanks folks. Looks like he may have to postpone his trip. Might be able to wait until, maybe, a festival is on though. Thanks so much for your help.
