Holidaying in Cambridge and Warwickshire in early August. Worth taking instruments with us as evenings will be free of site seeing time.

The way Wednesdays fall in August, I suspect you'll have left Warwickshire before the 13 August meeting of Bedworth folk club !

What kind of thing is it you'd be looking for?

Black Fen folk club are always a welcoming bunch. They meet in central Cambridge and most weeks is an open session. They lean towards more traditional material, although not exclusively.

As far as I'm concerned, the best singaround in the area is the one run at the The Boot pub in Histon by the Cambridge Crofters, which takes place on the first Tuesday of each month. (I assume it's taking place in August)

cresby.com > Warwick & 40Km radius given that I don't list in Coventry per se or North therefrom. You will have missed the Warwick Folk Festival and presumably Sidmouth too. Pete Grassby is a good person to ask. Though he will be in Sidmouth & Warwick, ask soon.

I forgot to say - ring if the datestamp looks old, and let me know if you find any that are current or ceased. TIA
