25 Feb 15 - 08:23 PM (#3689866) Subject: Reilly and Maloney to Retire in 2015? From: Joe Offer Deckman came across this and asked me to post it on his behalf. I wish I had caught the Reilly and Maloney concert when they were here a few months ago.
After 45 years of harmony, we have decided that 2015 will be our final year of performing together. The booking, the travel and the energy it takes to do justice to the myriad aspects of touring and performing have led to this decision. We feel our commitment to our act and to each other has been an enduring blessing, but this is the right time to retire our partnership as we've known it. We expect to continue our work as solo performers in whatever manner both health and life allow, but we will not seek out performances as Reilly and Maloney. We are still putting together our 2015 schedule and we want everyone to know how much we appreciate all of you who have walked this path with us through so many years. With heartfelt thanks, ~ David and Ginny Pelican Records; 101 Sunny Hills Drive, Suite 63; San Anselmo, CA 94960 415.453.4655 (You are receiving this because you signed up to receive notices about Reilly & Maloney events. From: Deckman I have been a HUGE FAN of them since their early days performing at "The Silver Spoon" in Duval, Washington. Beyond being great folks, their music is always such a delight ... very creative ... a great sound ... and the most innoventive duets I've ever heard. My very best wishes to them and theirs ... bob(deckman)nelson |
