I have a friend and his wife who are going to Skibbereen for a few weeks and would like to know if there is any set dancing around the area that they might be able to take in.

Set dancing in Skibbereen on YouTube looks like they have a club/nights.

And West Cork has set dances.

I was told by the Organiser of Stroud Ceilidhs who went to somewhere in Ireland for a week of Set Dancing that if you expect everyone to be fluent and on the ball, it is much like it is in the UK - a mix of abilities. We are lucky in Gloucestershire in having a practice twice a month and a Sunday afternoon monthly with a good crowd. In Wooton Under Edge. Then Bristol every Sunday. I would bet that this is as close as it gets
GAA Pavilion, adult ceili classes Weds - it would be Set Dancing. see West Cork/Sibb so it would.
