30 Mar 15 - 11:11 AM (#3698393) Subject: Obit: Pete Fyfe From: Waddon Pete I have just heard the sad news that Pete Fyfe is no longer with us. Pete was an excellent mandolin player, backing many famous artists as well as forming his group, "Band of Two" with Gary Blakely. He was also a CD reviewer whose pithy comments you may well have read in a variety of folk publications as well as on the web. Apart from that he was a good friend, masterminded my first CD on which he played mandolin and banjo and accompanied me when I played at venues local to him. A sad loss. My condolences to Glenys and all the many people who knew and loved him. RIP Peter |

Pete was a gentleman and a great folkie, and though I hadn't seen him for a couple of years or so, the news saddened my deeply. Stewart |
