In the 1960's he was an inspiration to lots of us and to me, he still is. I think I'll go right back to the first album of his I owned - 'Sixteen Tons Of Bluegrass'. The last time I saw him there I spent most of his gig in the nearby casualty department having a foreign object removed from my eye! Very nice nurse though... Speaking of Wizz in Cornwall, there's that great video of him from 1960 being interviewed by Alan Whicker. Easy to find on YouTube (I'm useless at links). |
