On a folded up, water & grease stained paper, along with some addresses, a grocery list, etc., there is this: Casorato Volo sau[?]lia colina La stampa Ba Ba Do Ma Firen[c]e I'm not going to lose any sleep over this, but I thought it might be a source of idle amusement for Catters to interpret .... I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. |

Following Grishka's lead, I googled images re: Francesco Casorati . Quite liked what I saw, and sensed something familiar - then remembered: a framed print I bought at a yard sale about five years ago - the text in question is in very small print at the bottom. Obviously, I copied the text with the intent of finding out more. I'll give a more precise rendition of the text later; see if I can get a word-for-word translation. Btw, the picture of which I have a print is not among the google images. It's something like this one. |
