Lyr Req: love songs by John McCutcheon

The song is from a John McCutcheon CD. It explain more or less she could have chosen a man who would have given her a life of riches ease but she chose me. In addition to the lyrics, what is the name of the song and if possible the album?

The first thing that came to mind was the What It's Like album. There's a song there called "Cup of Coffee" that may be the one you seek.

I've had a good time looking through John's lyrics, but I don't know for sure if I found the one you seek. The one that keeps popping into my head is not by John McCutcheon. It's "Forty-Five Years" by Stan Rogers.

I do not remember the name of the song. John sings about a woman who could have had a life of ease and luxury but she chose him. Its one of my favorite love songs because it really relates to my engagement to Carol.

I've gone through all of McCutcheon's songs twice, looking for love songs that might fit your specifications, Glen. I've found and posted some terrific songs, but I don't know if I've found what you're looking for. This is the last one, one that strikes me particularly. Even if I didn't find the right song, I've had a good time exploring.
