He came over on a UK tour back in the 70's and used our place as a base for some Yorkshire gigs. Took him to the Miner's Arms in Mexborough and introduced him to the ensemble as an American singer, to which one wag asked him "Does tha know Duane Eddy?". He had a beautiful easy finger picking style on guitar, and a lovely voice. Here's a glimpse. |

On my last MT trip a few weeks before he passed away, Chuck was playing in Whitefish. My wife & I had plans to go but changed our minds at the last minute thinking "We`ll see him next time!". It came as a great shock to hear the sad news of his untimely & sudden passing. Thanks for all the great music, Chuck! |
