"I didn't shed really any real tears until the album was over,'" Cole said. "Then I cried a whole lot. "When we started the project, it was a way of reconnecting with my dad. Then when we did the last song, I had to say goodbye again." http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-35210812 Goodbye Natalie, and thank you for reconnecting a generation with your Dad's music. But reading that obit/bio, I am still and always amazed at how so many talented and seemingly brilliant people succumb to drug addiction. I existed in a drug subculture from age 18 or so, but knew when to get out, before I was 20. Is it because success and riches allow extreme excess? I don't know, but I have to think that drug use is somewhat equated to intelligence, or lack thereof - but getting over it and getting clean is a great success! We'll miss you. RIP. |

She will be greatly missed;I'll be playing her music today and always, remembering her with fondness. |
