02 May 16 - 01:16 PM (#3788281) Subject: RE: BS: Catfish oh yeah From: gnu Dan, I would if I could but, as you know, duty calls. Man, there are some nice fish being caught in NB. Our season opened on the 15th. All manner of trout, kelt, landlocked salmon... I belong to a half dozen+ Facebook pages for New Brunswick anglers and hunters. One pic today was from Pokemouche. Sea-run trout; 8 of them nearly covered a pickup tailgate. One of the best tasting fish I ever ate. Old story from Labrador. As told to me by a buddy. He and another lad were drunk. They were at a lake in February a LONG way from Goose Bay. They took a very, very large number of trout (in the 100s). He asks "What is the bag limit?" Other says "As much as the bag will hold." Laughter. He told me that story and then opened a deep freezer to confirm the story. Me eyes was widened b'y! |
