I ran across a request for these lyrics in a different forum, so I figured I might as well post them here, too.

SALLY ZU-ZAZZ
As recorded by Big Joe Turner

Well, blow that horn, boy; blow it hard ’n’ loud.
Blow a little horn, boy; blow it hard ’n’ loud.
Don’t blow this mornin’ till we draw a crowd.

Gonna wake up my baby an’ tell her how I feel inside.
Gonna wake up my baby an’ tell her how I feel inside.
OK, baby, I’m ready for my mornin’ ride.

Takes a rockin’ chair to rock, a rubber ball to roll.
Long tall baby make my blood run cold.
OK baby, pump(?) me from side to side
Fine little deal, I’m ready for my mornin’ ride.

[instrumental break]

I got a brand-new baby ’n’ they call her Sally Zu-Zazz.
Got a brand-new baby ’n’ they call her Sally Zu-Zazz.
Yes, when she lovin’ me, boy, it’s too darn bad.

She’s a hip little kitty, right from the city, ready for a mornin’ ride.
Yes, toss it [to me], baby, toss it from side to side.
She’s a hip little biddy, right from the city, ready for [a] mornin’ ride.

By the way, some people think the line "Takes a rockin’ chair to rock, a rubber ball to roll", which occurs in other songs besides this one, has something to do with the origin of the term "rock 'n' roll." Could be.

Another candidate, Jim is the other floating line "My baby rocks me with a steady roll". Of course, many terms that started off as sexual euphemisms ended up as dance crazes! Jass, Georgia grind, Black bottom, maybe even Jive come to mind.

"pump" should be changed to "bump" (as in bump my penis side to side). This song is purely about intercourse in the morning.
(A fine thing, in my opinion!)
