From: Jim Carroll

I'm Attempting to fill in gaps in our collection of MacColl album - wonder if anybody can help with these:
Matching Songs (Riverside)
No Thyme Like the Present (Larrakin -Australia)
Songs Anainst the Bomb with Fred and Betty Dallas
Whaling Ballads - with A L Lloyd (Washington Records)
I would be grateful for any information of where I can get these (along with notes, if possible) and would happily exchange copies of anything we have.
Thanks in advance
Jim Carroll

Download link for No Tyme Like the Present; the file should be available for download for the next 48 hours. No notes, not the best quality rip, and I think it's missing a track, but better than nothing.

Thanks to you both
The 'Thyme' album seems complete - as you say, not the best quality but beggars....!!
Please feel free to ask for anything I might have.
I was amused to find the wahaling album listed as being by Ewan MacColl and Andrew Lloyd Webber!!
Look forward to hearing that one if I manage to find it.

Ewan MacColl and Andrew Lloyd Webber!!

Now, a meeting between these two would have been interesting. Their views and attitudes to life were....how shall we say.... somewhat different.

I would have liked to have been able to interview them both at the same time:-
VS - I would like to welcome to the studio tonight two great songwriters, Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Ewan MacColl.
I'll start with you Lord Lloyd-Webber.... I believe that since your enoblement you have hardly ever attended the House of Lords. Is that the case?
ALW -Yes, that is true.
VS -And yet it was reported that you recently broke your near-silence in the House of Lords when you flew back to London from New York specifically to vote for tax credit cuts for Britain's poorest people.
ALW -Yes, that is also true.
VS -Mr. MacColl. Would you like to make any comment on his Lordship's actions in this matter?
Interviewer dives for cover.
