22 Sep 16 - 10:59 AM (#3810853) Subject: Remembering Roy Harris & Gren Morris From: Dave Sutherland FRIENDS REMEMBERED ROY HARRIS & GREN MORRIS Following the deaths of two highly respected and much loved members of the Nottinghamshire folk music fraternity, Gren Morris and Roy Harris, in January and February respectively this year, we are presenting a concert in Nottingham on Saturday 19th November 2016 to celebrate their lives and honour their contribution to the folk music of Nottingham, The East Midlands and much further afield. The venue will be The Federation Social Club, Claremont Road, Nottingham NG5 1BH starting at 8pm The guest line – up will include:- Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham Pete Coe Brian Peters Benny Graham Kelly's Heroes Notts Alliance Sam Stephens With the possibility of others to be added. The club operates a licenced bar and the seating arrangements will be cabaret style. I always admired Roys extraordinary ability to get audiences joining in and would have liked to take part in the event, however I will be in Ireland at that time. |
