Well the musicians were in the local bus shelter!! Finished with a sword lock around Keith's neck. Apparently they only go out about 10 times a year. Great to see a real ancient tradition on the box - but thousands of years' old???!!! Can be viewed in 4OD (4 on demand) for the next 21 days or so. If overseas you might be able to view it with a UK VPN. Or it might eventually get uploaded to YouTube or as a torrent - try MVGroup.org http://www.channel4.com/programmes/penelope-keiths-hidden-villages |

At the SDU longsword tournament held in the village last week end they did field a side made up of village lads but in the main they dance out with a mixture of locals and adoptees. I was adopted by them some 10 years ago, I don't dance but play the mouthie for them. They also field a ladies side now. A canny seta lads and lasses. Brian |
