His family have been carriers of traditional music for seven generations or more and are perhaps the greatest musical dynasty in the English-speaking world. While acknowledging the influence of the Seeger and Carter / Cash families in the American tradition the sheer longevity and scope of the Copper Family repertoire has few equals. John will be appearing a few short miles from Rottingdean on England's south coast, where the earliest entry of the family name in parish records was in 1593. |
