Let's all learn "Achy Breaky Heart" in protest.

I think the important line from Huffington Post is:
"Theresa May has reportedly sealed a deal with them to allow her to form a minority government with their ten seats after her general election gamble spectacularly backfired."

"Reportedly": Not necessarily factual
"Minority government": Even with the DUP it would still be a minority, just as it is without them. The Conservatives do not need the DUP to form a minority government. They are currently already the party with the greatest number of seats in the parliament.

Nope. She said it with her own mouth, describing those sectarian bigots as the Tories' friends. Nothing "reportedly" about it.

I was quoting the Huffington Post when I said 'reportedly'.
Of course, if you have personally heard her say it, then you needn't use that formulation of words.
I would still need to do so though, as I only have your word, or that of the Huffington Post, that it was actually said.

Oooooh, '...incites lust...' .I must have missed out somewhere along the line (sorry for the pun) I used to do line-dancing in the village hall with about thirty ladies once a week. We loved it, but I don't think any of us felt all that much lust, just rather puffed out.

She does actually need the DUP even to maintain a minority government, Nigel. Without their support she cannot hope to get a majority for the Queens Speech, and would have to resign, and Jeremy Corbyn would be invited to have a go at forming a government. Quite what would happen if he couldn't succeed isn't too clear. The assumption has been that if that situation arose, where no one could get to majority for essential purposes, there'd be another election.

There aren't really any precedents for the present situation. Even with DUP support, I make it that, if Sinn Fein were to decide to take their seats, the May government would have a majority of two. It's not too likely that Sinn Fein will abandon their longstanding policy of not taking sears, but these are strange times, and it could be argued that by continuing this policy they are in effect assisting this "Conservative and Unionist" administration to survive.

Where is a YouTube video of Al Whittle performing "Buster the line-dancing dog" when you need it?
