04 Jul 17 - 07:18 AM (#3864218) Subject: Obit: ..Alan Surtees From: GUEST,Dave Hunt It is with great sadness that I report the death of Alan Surtees - Director of Shrewsbury Folk Festival..His cancer returned and he realised that this time it was terminal....Loss of a great friend and brilliant organiser who took what started as a local Festival (originally in Bridgnorth) and made it internationally famous. A very sad loss to the folk community. Condolences to Sandra and his family. |
