Recently came into possession of a number of taped performances featuring the following (seemingly) obscure 60s folk singers (taped in San Diego circa '63/'64). Does ANYONE have any detail on...

Mimette
Ron Harrington
Marjorie Stern
Bill Sherman
The Shannon Trio
Duane & Kent

Any help appreciated !!

Chloe Alexa Milne is her married name. She may be in the San Francisco area. You might try Google with that name. G'luck.

i saw a folksinger who was going round with The New Lost City Ramblers play Reading Folk Club at The Crown called Brian Roberts.

Another Roberts I remember was banjo/guitar ace who was going round with Bill Clifton called Pete Roberts.

i also have happy memories of a great gig from Marc Sullivan. I really wish , I'd made friends with him.

Also, I think you might find how to contact Mimette (Wishart) Ehrenfreund through Mr Google. I could be wrong on this one, but I don't think so. Best I can do in a brief time. As I said earlier, g'luck.

To Guest Malc:

I went to a folk club years ago in San Diego (I believe it was on University Ave on a corner (don't know the name of the club) as I only went there a few times when visiting friends in San Diego.
I remember seeing a trio there of two guys & one girl who had this beautiful soaring folk soprano voice); sort of Joan Baez type voice.

Do you have a way of making a copy of the tape of singers you have either on a CD or just a tape would be fine if you can't do a CD transfer?
I am in California. I would gladly pay for the tape & postage.
Please let me know.   Thank you.

Wow, Mimette is my mother. We played the recording you sent to my brother and none of us could believe it! I'll ask her if she remembers any of the other people on your list. Thanks so much. To reach me for more questions or pics: cleanswim@pacbell.net

Hi Guest,
You asked your question a few years ago, but Chloe Marsh is my mother. She was on the Jack Linkletter Hootnanny record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRXY20HcDMU

She's in her 80s now and in good health.
