Origins: Eyeballs

Dear Friends,

I heard a record album in the 1960's from a British group that had two "interludes" in the tracks. The first was about a guy cleaning a chimney. What I remember is "she said push it a bit harder and so I pushed it a bit harder and the whole lot came down the chimney. Mother was black and father, and all he got was his white eyeballs." The second interlude dealt with a guy sleeping in a park when the policeman came by and said "move along, you can't be here and so I said what do you want me for the officer said sleeping here...drunk and so I said how could I be bloody drunk when I'm sleepin?

I would sure love to know where that came from. Thanks to everyone.

You reawakened memories of a very good band's only LP [derailed by record industry contractual problems etc..]
They fairly soon after evolved into Tucky Buzzard.

I did some googling and discovered a recently released low priced CD collection of The End's entire recorded output, the LP and rough demos etc..

I've now ordered and received Amazon delivery of that CD set, and a very affordable Tucky Buzzard LP discography CD box set..

That'll be my late night winter headphone listening sorted for a while.. cheers..
