19 Dec 99 - 02:11 AM (#151431) Subject: The Cat Carol From: Metchosin I heard an interesting song on the CBC's Definitely Not the Opera today called The Cat Carol, from a Compilation of Canadian Christmas Songs. It could be on the Funniest song you've ever heard or the Songs that make you cry thread, depending on your bent or frame of mind. Does anyone know of it or have the lyrics? |

Words and Music by Ted Hutchinson
And the night skies rang, as the angels sang,
Said the mouse to the cat, as in wonder they sat, And the night skies rang...
Sleepy shepherds they saw as they crept through the door And the night skies rang...
So they happily sat, little mouse, little cat,
And the night skies rang... |

The one I heard had the cat freezing to death in the snow but saving the life of his mouse friend and Santa Claus relegating the dead cat to a position of a constellation in the sky so the mouse would always be reminded of his friend or something along those lines. |
