I have heard it is very good. I have not seen it yet but will hopefully enjoy it on catch up. Better late than never :-)

Brilliant series with wonderful wild life photography too. Good to see Horrible Histories character! Shame it's the last; would like to see the cottage renovated.

I am sure you will like it Dave, though it is set in the gentle farmland of Essex not your rugged fells.

Enjoy the folky theme,

I've enjoyed this last series, I never saw the earlier ones, now I wish I had. Life's too short for "catch up" or box set binging!

I've recorded this last series, but I haven't yet watched most of it. I'm very much looking forward to enjoying the remaining episodes. I have a tendency towards "delayed gratification". Looking forward to things adds to the enjoyment.

Both previous series were quite remarkably good, and this final series measures up. And the most remarkable thing is the way it managed to be so funny and enthralling with hardly anything that would count as a joke, and not too much happening. I can't imagine many countries outside these islands where many people would get it.

Everyone in it I'll miss - except that I recognise them in people I know from folk clubs and sessions. And from the Mudcat of course.

If someone asks you what you'd like for Christmas, there’s a DVD box set of all three series... Or if you've a partner, buy it for them, and treat yourself in the process.

I watched the 2-year old Xmas special this week, a bit cheeky to use the Alfred jewel as Lance's piece in the BM!

Set in Essex, but filmed in Suffolk. The pub is really the 'Castle' at Framlingham, though the interiors were filmed at the Great Glemham 'Crown' - both fine pubs even when I'm not playing there.
