I'm very much looking forward to enjoying the remaining episodes. I have a tendency towards "delayed gratification". Looking forward to things adds to the enjoyment. Both previous series were quite remarkably good, and this final series measures up. And the most remarkable thing is the way it managed to be so funny and enthralling with hardly anything that would count as a joke, and not too much happening. I can't imagine many countries outside these islands where many people would get it. Everyone in it I'll miss - except that I recognise them in people I know from folk clubs and sessions. And from the Mudcat of course. If someone asks you what you'd like for Christmas, there’s a DVD box set of all three series... Or if you've a partner, buy it for them, and treat yourself in the process. |
