She had a long solo career after an eventful career with singing partner and husband Louis Prima. I became aware of her through her spouse but admired her ability to overcome life's vicissitudes and continue her art. |

She had a sound like Eydie Gormé whose partnership with Steve Lawrence was lifelong. Louis Prima in fact was many times married, but there was only one Keely Smith. |
