30 Mar 18 - 03:42 PM (#3914103) Subject: RE: BS: What car would you or others be? From: frogprince I'd like to think of myself as a classic Duesenberg, but I'm probably more of a Yugo that has somehow managed to keep sputtering down the road. |

31 Mar 18 - 02:57 AM (#3914179) Subject: RE: BS: What car would you or others be? From: BobL Sounds like the 1965 Morris Oxford I once owned. For leisurely rather than furious driving, but capable of a surprising turn of speed if left to get on with it. Myself? Citroën 2CV - primitive, quirky, useful. |

My car is a real sleeper since I put a Yugo badge on the back. Ivanka is a Cadillac two seater with a custom nose. Americans have junk in the trunk, Brits have a snoot in the boot and Canadians have a Canute in the boot. |
31 Mar 18 - 08:56 AM (#3914245) Subject: RE: BS: What car would you or others be? From: gillymor I'd be a Toyota Tacoma pickup just like the last 4 vehicles I've owned. Boring I know but none of them ever required a major repair and I took all of them to over 150K and one to 230. Now Trump would be a big orange Hummer running straight pipes with a "No Fat Chicks" sticker on the rear window and Dr. Laura blasting on the stereo. |
31 Mar 18 - 10:52 AM (#3914283) Subject: RE: BS: What car would you or others be? From: Senoufou We were watching a programme about Yanni, a British chap who customises supercars by wrapping them with lovely colours and accenting their trims and so on. He did a Lamborghini Aventador in the most delicious rose gold. It was absolutely beautiful, and it roared out of his workshop like a lion. I've decided that, under my placid exterior, I'm secretly one of those. (But I must be in rose gold) If you Google it, you can see it and have a drool. |

Gillmor, you are a wild and crazy practical utilitarian. With a name like Dodge Ram it sounds accident prone. If I had a pick up I might turn into a hoarder. |

02 Apr 18 - 10:29 AM (#3914697) Subject: RE: BS: What car would you or others be? From: Donuel There is value in being an original condition car. The problem is that it is not in its original condition. I have noticed that ISIS also sees the practical value of Toyota pick ups. I'm a sucker for cars that make 'couped' up back seat passengers uncomfortable. Watching some people finding it impossible to get out is a bit sadistic but funny as hell. However no one asks me for a ride to the airport. |

Diesel-powered but because it's "Eco" I currently don't have to pay UK road tax: but since our totally incompetent Westminster govt have decided that diesel is awfy BAD (having previously promoted it as GOOD) I might have to start paying tax on it. It's not what you CO2, more what you NO2 it seems! |

I hated to have to sell it when the Army got me and sent me to Berlin. -Joe- |
