Jeano;

All the world should be at peace
And the right should be the might
I'd have those that made the quarrelling
The only ones to fight

Simply stunning!

It was a very pleasant interlude in what was otherwise a rather gruelling edition of WH!

Who are Benjamin , Lazar, and Davis? Where is New Milton?

Dave Hanson, here's Anna and Elizabeth's website. I had heard a lot about them and was delighted to hear them at last summer's New Bedford Folk Festival. They impressed me with their music and knowledge.

Where is New Milton? It's on the edge of the New Forest.

"New Milton feels a bit out of the way. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but may account for a town centre that is unprepossessing and scruffy in parts.

"Despite Milton being mentioned in the Domesday Book (back when it was little more than a farmstead), there is little period architecture.

"Even the railway’s arrival in the second half of the 19th century failed to kick-start any significant development – apart from a good Victorian water tower."

HenryP.: Thanks for the information on New Milton. I had the opportunity to hear{and see} Elizabeth {Laprelle} perform at the Old Songs Festival in Altamont, NY a few years ago. Never heard a better ballad singer.

I was at sidmouth about 40 years ago...

That also has about as much relevance to a current 2018 tour of the UK...

Bristol, Exeter, that city down in Cornwall...???..

Blimey, even The Handsome Family and Peggy Seeger played Bridgwater Art Centre relatively recently in the last decade......

Of course every venue manager in the South West posts on Mudcat so I am sure that they will all be here in a few minures to explain to punkfolkrocker why they didn't book a particular act.

If there was post edit correction here, I'd shift the 'even' to in front of Bridgwater art centre for improved emphasis...

GUEST - do you think so, that'd be very considerate of them...

and perhaps all the SW based promoters and gig list compilers could also give me a cortesy call..

Thanks GUEST.. that's a brilliant idea... what a caring person...

Nor mine Bonzo. If the renderings on their website are anything to go by the only words I would use to describe their singing would be soulless and vapid. But there again variety is the spice and all that, it takes all sorts and you can't like everything.
