Lyr Req: Don Uiche Ud I mBeithil

My sister is looking for the Gaelic lyrics to this. It translates to "That Night in Bethlehem." She has the English, but would like the original Gaelic. Thanks so much for any help.

I'm taking the liberty of refreshing my own thread here. Please, do any of our Gaelic speakers know this one? Its on the Chieftains' "Bells of Dublin" CD and also on Iona's "Nutmeg & Ginger."

These are the two verses that I can remember

Don oíche úd i mBeithil, beidh tagairt faoi ar ghréin go brách;
Don oíche úd i mBeithil go dtáinig an Bhréithir slán;
Tá gríosghrua ar spéarthaibh 's an talamh 'na chlúdach bán;
Féach Íosagán sa chléibhín, 's an Mhaighdeán ' Á dhiúl le grá.

Ar leacain lom an tsléibhe go nglacann na haoirí scóth;
Nuair in oscailt ghil na spéire tá teachtaire Dé ar fáil;
Céad glóire anois do Athair i bhFlaitheasaibh thuas go hard!
Is feasta fós ar thalamh d'fhearaibh dea-mhéin síocháin!

Don oíche úd i mBeithil go dtáinig an Bhréithir slán;

Thank you so much, Neil and Áine! I have emailed the lyrics (with attribution) to my sister. I knew that this was the right place to come. The people here never cease to amaze me with their depth and breadth of knowledge. Again, thanks!
