Just seen on the BBC news that Jeremy Hardy the comedian has died.
A music legend for his terrible singing, but also an inspiration to bad singers everywhere.
Following his progress on I'm sorry I haven't a clue over the years it has been noticeable that his singing did actually improve and showed that you don't have to be good at it to be entertaining.

I shall miss his humour, condolences to friends and family.

And he was far too young to leave us. I am very sad to hear this.

This news makes me terribly sad. I had to check in several places before I could believe it.

From nearly ten years ago here he is on Chain Reaction talking to Jack Dee

i was devastated when I heard this news this morning. My favourite comedian and a great campaigner. I was lucky enough to see him to an hour of non stop talking at the Musicport Festival a few years ago and to meet him afterwards

RIP Jeremy - the world is a lot less fun without you

From the link in the obituary posted by SRS I've been re-reading some of the columns he wrote 20 years ago for the Guardian. Here's one:

Learning the hard way

(Note for non-UK readers: GNVQ = General National Vocational Qualification)

We'll miss him.

Now I'm the only one left who can play kazoo in tune but not sing in tune. Much missed, great campaigner and humourist.
