23 Apr 19 - 03:35 PM (#3988759) Subject: Tech: Loose USB ports From: GUEST,Ed Given that my Windows 10 laptop is over 4 (maybe even 5?) years old, and that I move it around a good deal, unplugging/re-plugging a lot, I guess it was inevitably going to happen sooner or later. A cursory search, suggests solutions such as Fix Your Loose USB Ports with This Little Trick. It seems to make sense, but does it, or do you have any better solutions? Grateful for any thoughts. The repair video is enough to make me take absolutely obsessive caution mollycoddling it when I need to plug and unplug accessories... Can't just pop the port out of a simple side panel. The whole laptop needs to be completely disassembled just to access the back of the ports... Oddly, the designers made Hard drive and ram swapping extra easy and accessable...??? |

For a few moments my memory was confused between the Fujitsu laptop and Korg keyboard It demands a total taking apart, and resoldering job.. The rear of the socket is completely inaccesible from it's own side of the chassis... |
