After doing his vooddo shtick for most of it, he was called back for an encore, and his encore was his whole new album---Dr. John's Gumbo---which was his tribute to the great jazz and r'n b' artists of New Orleans. Wow! Here is an obituary. He died of a heart attack at age 77. http://www.offbeat.com/news/dr-john-rock-roll-icon-new-orleans-legend-died/?fbclid=IwAR3F0fK0Ff98Qez07bdIr-8rPhxje9xOesz7FBN6sDp |
