I never got to ask the performer about it, and I've never heard it since. Anyone know it? Thanks. |

I was running the folk 'n' blues evenings in Cartmel Bar in Lancaster University (that developed out of the more formal Folk and Poetry Evenings - hence the capital letters - that the once famous English lecturer and CPGB member David Craig had started). It was around 1976-1977 - a mere 42 years ago. It was sung by a bloke, as I say, an American lad (all I remember is that he looked a little like Jim Croce). He was almost certainly from the University of Colorado at Boulder as they had an exchange programme with Lancaster. |
